Kesar Bhawan is the oldest palace of Mount Abu. It was built in 1868 A.D. by His Highness Maharajadhiraj Maharao Singhji Saheb Bahadur of Sirohi. He was a saintly king whose glories are sung till today during the holy festival. Kesar Bhawan Palace belongs to Maharaj Daivat Singh of Sirohi, whose ancestor Maharao Lumbha conquered the hill of Abu in the year 1311 A.D. Many dignitaries have been hosted at this palace including Maharajas and European royalties.
